Responsible for the removal of original cloth covers and the re-fitting of leather covers, using the approved fixing methods and products. The leather technician will also be required to remove and re-fit the interior of the vehicles they are working on. A basic tool kit along with any specialised tools required will be provided. The ability to operate a sewing machine to carry out functions such as the swapping over of plastic clips, and carrying out small repairs would be an advantage.

Responsible for the removal and installation of vehicle interiors. The Mobile installer will call into dealerships and remove the interior, take it to the nearest TRANSCAL technical centre where the leather technicians will re-trim ready for the Mobile installer to take back to the dealership and re-install. The area covered by the Mobile installer will be wherever the work is being generated within the UK mainland. The Mobile Installer is also responsible for developing and maintaining his own customer base through sales activities and incentive promotions.

Working in our R&D department and in close co-operation with our Sales and Design Directors, you will be responsible for creating new designs for automotive and aerospace seating. You will have a minimum of 10 years experience and a portfolio of previous work that illustrates your abilities. You will be fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese both oral and written. An ability to annotate pattern design templates with manufacturing techniques and sewing methods is a pre-requisite. You will be inventive in your use of sewing styles and design elements, with strong innovation skills.
